"Creating has always been a part of my life, from lines on a paper to paint on a furniture piece or to the joining of thread and fabric. I cannot remember a time in my life when I was not using my hands to create something. As a young child, I can remember using cardboard boxes to create a tiny doll size house filled with furniture made from items found around the house. A bed from a tissue box, a table from a plastic cup and butter container lid. A scrap piece of fabric made a perfect table topper and backdrop for the china and cutlery I made out of clay. I fashioned chairs from toilet paper rolls and wallpapered the walls with shelf liner paper. As I grew, so did the scale of my desire and spaces in which to create."
